I had it done to my 09, at least they said they did it, and I could not tell any difference. The ABS still kicks in if you are braking and you hit a small bump, etc... Not real pleased.
i would go to a different dealer, you can tell the diff.
I brought my 09 RKC into my dealer. They looked up the VIN number and said that there were no changes that needed to be done to it. I even gave him the bulleton number but he said all that matters is my VIN. Going in for the 5,000 next week, so I will mention it again.

Try a different dealer. The first guy I talked to at my dealer gave me the same story. Then a tech walked up that knew what was going on and I got the update. It is an improvement IMO and worth getting.
This is not a recall, it's a service bulletin and, so far, doesn't seem to show up on a routine VIN search but that doesn't mean it's not still a valid procedure.

Brought the bike in for the 5K service today.... told him it does not show up in a VIN seach. He looked deeper into it and found it. He printed the bulleton our tfor me and said he would perfom it.
