Question ABS - yes or no?

I'd be interested in hearing from folks who have ABS equipped bikes. Is it a good thing or not?

After having bikes without it...and now having one with it....I say yes. It is a good thing!

You opened a pandoras box. There are a lot of diverse opinions on the forum.

From my perspective, I will always have ABS now that I have it on my 2009 UC. Wish I had had it on my 2007 UC...I may have been able to avoid nearly dying, spending 11 days in the hospital.

I had ABS on my '08 Ultra before I triked it. Only had it kick in once during a panic stop when a car pulled in front of me at an interstate exit ramp. I hit the front and rear brakes HARD at about 50 mph!! The rear tire "chirped" and the bike came to a quick stop with no sliding at all.......the foot pedal and hand lever were both "pulsing" just as advertised. I firmly believe had I not had ABS I would have skidded into the drivers door. As it was I stopped with about six feet to spare. Yep!!! ABS is friggin' GREAT!!!

Yes, to me, it's more than a good thing, it's a prerequisite. I wouldn't have bought my 09 Ultra without it.
ABS could save my life and that of my passenger.
Maybe with the exception of highly skilled riders and I even doubt they can, nobody can bring a non-ABS bike to a full stop as fast and as safely as an ABS bike, and this, on all terrains.

I think you will find that most people with it will say they love it and will never live without it again, and most people without it will say it wasn't worth the price and never needed it before. just my
