all you have to do is have a minor off road excursion, make sure that you don't get hurt, but every painted panel on your bike needs fixed, call insurance, take bike to wonderful indy shop that specializes in wrecks, mention a color change to your favorite color and by the way could you paint the inner fairing while you have everything off, and also i can't afford to pay all of my $1000. deductible and 2 months later and $184.
This is been my biggest PITA for the last 2 months. I have been trying to get the inner fairing painted to match my blue, but multiple dealers told me they can't order this paint because it is a limited paint set. I have had a guy try to match it with house of color paint and no luck. The only way I can get the paint is purchasing the little touch up bottles.....now have 20 yes 20 of them on order to hopefully get enough to paint. I have no idea why Harley will not sell some paint...it's not like the formula for KFC I asking for. Forgot to mention...the dealers can't even order the inner fairing already painted.
Longhorn hd has a deal. You tell them what color you want for inner fairing and the other piece that goes by the ignition. They will have it painted by there painter locally that has the harley codes. Longhorn will install the painted inner, lower piece and labor for 500.
