Finally got to blast someone with air horn
Put a Stebel Nautilus on bike about a month ago. Only thing i got to "blast" so far was dogs and birds. Sitting at a red light yesterday when it turned green. Both lanes started to go. Stupid driver(female) sitting at intersection on side road came right out in front of both lanes as they were taking off. Red light means stop, Biotch!! She moved over to left lane, i started to go around her on right, she moved to right lane, wobbled back into the center over both lanes. Thats the time if there ever was one!! Blast her!! She had her window down with coke in one hand and cel phone in other. Perfect. When i hit the horn she jumped and the coke she was holding splattered everywhere. I love airhorns.
I have been considering this horn after hearing it in a dealer. Does anyone make a cover for it similar to the HD cow bell? Not sure but after being exposed to the elements over time, some parts of the chrome horn look like they may oxidize and become quite ugly. Anybody have any opinions/experience on covers or oxidation...

Yes it will, depends on how many times it gets wet. It took about 6 months for mine to start oxidizing. I mounted mine in the front cowling and is still plenty loud. Thought about trying to mount it behind the cow bell but I don't think it will fit and look good.
Waaaaaa hahahahahahahaha
Great story, the only thing better would have been if she jumped and threw her cell phone out the window and you ran over it. I HAVE GOT to get me an air horn.

Yeah the compressor part of it will start to oxidize after a while but it only costs $50 so what do you expect. I polished the compressor with simichrome to start with. All you have to do is repolish it every now and then to knock the corrosion off. The universal stebel horn will mount on the stock horn mount bracket between the cylinders just fine after you remove the stock horn and it really doesn't look too bad. Had someone the other day looking at it and trying to figure out what it was. If you put any kind of cover on it, the horn would probably not be as loud.
Theres a couple of guys on here that put up threads on separating the horn from the compressor, so you could put the compressor under the side cover and the trumpets inside the cowbell. I'm here to tell you that you don't lose any sound transfer, that sucker is loud. Great horn, Be safe out there.

Darn PROUD of YOU!!! I added air horns to my scoot a month ago but haven't had the chance yet to do anything other than scare my wife and kids. Hope that wasn't a diet coke and "sticky" got all over her and the cage!!! LOL
