Try this: rapidly turn your ignition switch on and off twice then try it. same thing for when it gets dropped or layed over on its side

I had the same problem, got a new fob battery and still didn't work - problem was I had put the battery in upside down, duh! Once I got the battery in right I reset the code, hopefully will never need to use the code.

I have the instructions on how to find and reset the 5 digit security code, but not with me now. I'll try to post later. I know this doesn't help with you fob but at least you'll be able to start it.

Try the last 5 numbers in your bike serial number..
Most override codes are set up that way

All the bikes that come from our local dealers here, come with the code set as 31313. First thing anyone should do is reset it to something they can remember. I could probably start half the bikes in the BC Lower Mainland because a lot of owners don't bother to change it. Once you do set your own code you should practice using it so when you need it you CAN do it, or at least carry the instructions in your wallet.

Turn the ignition off then on. Immediately press both turn signals until the five lines appear in the speedometer. Press the left turn signal three times then the right once. then press the left turn signal once then the right once, then the left three times and the right once, then the left once again and the right once. To finish, press the left turn signal once and the right once.

The left button sets the number and the right is like pressing "enter."
