Default windshield sizes??

I HAVE A 95 ULTRA WITH A 12 INCH STOCK WINDSHIELD. I OF COURSE HAVE TO LOOK THROUGH IT WHICH I DON'T REALLY MIND AND THE WIND GOES OVER MY GALS HEAD AS WELL AS MINE, WHICH IS IMPORTANT FOR HER COMFORT. i'm thinking about a shorter one for when I ride sole. one that i can look over but the wind would still for the most part go over my head. I'm 5'11 with a stock seat. would a 7in do it? Rifle co. in cal makes all sizes and tints.
Thanks

I'd try a 9" first. I think you'd be happy

I have a Cee Baileys SSC windshield on my '06. It is a 12" model which is equal to a stock 9". I am 5'8" and I look over it with no wind issues.

I'm 5'8" and can just see over an 8" comfortably with a stock seat if that helps.

I am 6' 1". I have put a 9" Memphis Shades on my '07 Ultra and I love it. I now look over the windshield. We ran into some rain today and it worked just fine. The airflow kept the rain off my glasses and I did not have to reach over and clear the wind shield to see thru it. Please note that I will probably put the 12" back on in the winter months to keep more air off of my face. My wife also likes the shorter windshield as she now gets a little more air. We live in Southern Illinois. (6 hours South of Chicago, most people think Southern Illinois starts at the South edge of Chicago!)

I am 6'2" and currently run a clearview 9.5" recurve tinted shield on my 09 SG and look over it but do not get much wind or it goes over my helment also works well in the heavy rains to deflect it.
