PCV not so easy install
Put the PCV in today. Not the hardest, but no the easiest electrical add on I've ever done. My Ultra has the ABS so putting anything under the right hand cover is out of the question. After looking at the instructions and deciding that the extra positive wire is not going to allow me to follow them, directly anyway, I started getting serious. No way was I going to be able to stuff the ecm connector infront of the battery where shown. But, if I cut away a bit of the ecm tray/battery cover, I might be able to slide it in a bit more to the right of where it was shown. A razor knife and a bit of trimming and it was done. Still a bit tight, but the cover goes back on and the seat fits right. Double stickied the PC to the rear fender and everything is fine. Fired the bike up and.............idles at 2000 rpm. This ain't right. Figured I'd get in a test ride and warm everything up before putting it on the computer to tweek it and get the revs back down. I'm liking the way she runs. Actually feels like it has a bit of power now. Back to the garage and the wife has a few chores for me. No more "playing with the bike". Thinking about that idle speed all afternoon. Then it dawns on me, I never capped off the O2 sensors. I'm betting tomorrow's much longer ride is gonna be fun!!!
