I ordered a 8" medium smoke shield for my 09 ultra about a week ago, and it arrived on friday exactly one week from my placing the order, not bad since I placed the order on a weekend, the price was great 91 bucks all together with shipping.
The shield itself is a quality product, certainly improves the look of the bike and at low speeds (50 and under) it keeps the wind off you better than stock, any faster it is at least as good as stock if not better, I can hear the stereo better at all speeds and it is nice looking over the shield instead of through it. all in all I can definately recommend long ride shields.
Thanks for th post, Loco. I just bought my 1st Ultra Classic a few months ago and I have a long commute to work. The standard HD shield seems to block wind, bugs, rocks and debris pretty well, but I hate the look of it. I do alot of interstate highway riding so I don't want to sacrifice safety/comfort for a look.
I've always kind of been practical in the approach to any machine. It has to be reliable, efficient, and it has to do the job I need it to do. With my 2009 Ultra, it has to hold all the stuff I need when I travel for work (sometimes 3 weeks out of a month) and it has to get me there as comfortably as possible.
If a 1/2 shield or even a 1/4 shield will get the job of a full shield done, so much the better.

I agree totally put one on mine two weeks ago
seems its the only brand I have never had to
fight the shield to fit the fairing
great product
those shields do look like they'd flip the windstream over your head. and a neat thing about them, is that you can polish them without worrying about the coatings that harley puts on their plastic windshields. i'm gonna order one when i get back to riding. they really enhance the looks, from what i've seen in the pictures. clearview, waiting several weeks? thanks anyway. long ride windshield it's gonna be for my black sg.
There seem's to be another company selling the same windshield design and offer it for the roadglide with the curve design long ride may want to see what is going on http://www.windvest.com/
