Default Is it just me???

Is it just me, or is there no real excitement with the 2010's???? What's new and exciting with the 2010?? I don't see anything that makes me run out to buy an 2010. (other than owning a 2010). I'd want to see something major like in the past: 6gal tank, 6 speed, ect.

The dealer said it has a bigger frame (whatever that means) and 180's on the rear. I see nothing gained in 2010. Not even in color, which was a dissapointment (in my opinion)..

I saw a CVO SG in person, it was a totall turn off for me......(not to mention the flames)...

I might look for a great deal on an 09!!!!!!

How often do you think they should make major changes? In this economy you want them to retool and redesign. It's you.

I think they made some nice little changes. More like you'd expect from a normal year. The changes to the 09 was the "big bang".

The Ultra Limited is nice bike but most of it is just charging up front for some upgrades and accessories. I think the price for the Limited is really good if those are the upgrades and accessories you want. I also think that it's a smart move by HD in that they know a lot of people finance their bikes so they would rather have you finance the upgrades rather than pay as you go like most of us do.

But if you want to really compare apples to apples, then the true test of comparability is to look at the difference between the 09 Ultra and the 2010 Ultra. I may be wrong but the only difference I can see is the Helical cut 5th gear and some colors. But I have to admit that I havn't really looked into it that hard.

The colors are a personal thing, but I do have an opinion on the gear cut change. HD always claimed that Straight cut gear was there for a reason. They said the "whine" was normal and a byproduct of a "stronger" gear. At least that's what I was told.

Sooooooo..... Either HD was completely wrong about the superior attributes of the straight cut 5th gear, or, they have now built a bike with a weaker 5th gear to appease the biatches who complain about the noise.

My 09 FLHTCU with Redline Shockproof seems to be every bit as good and quiet as the 2010 FLHTCU. Plus they eliminated the Black Pearl color so in my mind my 09 is already a classic

Just my worthless opinion of course!!

I'm not excited. I haven't even visited the website or a dealer looking for them.

You didn't trade when they had major changes in the past either: bigger motor, 6 gal tank, 6 speed tranny, 1st new frame redesign in 27 years, first ever wide tire on a bagger.
So yeah, I guess it's just you.

Nothing much to get excited about this year. Gonna be a slow year for bike sales is suspect. T.
