As some of you may have read, I had new cams installed this past week. The indy shop that installed them raved about how little wear they found in my cam chest. The oil pump and plate.....no wear. The cam chain shoes.....no wear. I asked them just how much wear would you expect to see at 6000 miles, and they said that with syn3 and some others, they have had to replace oil pumps and chains and shoes at that mileage. Can you believe that? I sure am glad I got that syn3 out of my scoot at 500 miles!
That is exactly why I moved to AmsOil on my scoot.. Can tell the difference on the engine temp also!! Not to mention noise.. I totally could hear the lifters ticking before I put it in, now it's just the exhaust that I hear!!!
Wnogood,
Could not agree with your more. Amsoil, while it is not the cheapest, performs as advertised. I noticed right away the ease in shifting after my 1000 mile service and complete Amsoil fluid change in my scoot. Seems to also run a bit cooler as well. Lots of good lubricants out there, but I have had very good results in both my Road King, and my family pick-up that I run Amsoil front to back.
