Yup id bet the ***** got worn from vibration of possibly a combination of the bad vibes and the line may have had some or too much pressure or load on it in the fitting.. Most people dont know this but the original version has 3 ***** that lock on the black part just like an airline quick disconnect but harley had one model that wore out the ***** rapidly because of a different like configuration so we went to 6 ***** ! We made those whole parts from raw steel and brass to the screw machine to the drilling depts to the copper brazing oven (brazed the nipple in black part ) to assembly and QC.. I was in charge of quite of a few of the machining operations ! I still dont know how they justified permanently laying me off cause I was the only one that knew what the hell was going on
