I paid exactly 3600 under "posted" msrp for my 09 RKC. I paid 16,230...sticker said 19,830.
Sales person told me they had it in stock too long and was making "payments" to HD???? If anyone can validate this info would be cool.
I,m still pinching myself.
Posted by Sam earlier: "the other thing to remember, is that the dealer does not pay HD for a bike until it is sold."
Are you certain about the part where the dealer is not paying for the bike until it is sold???? You're from the Maritimes so surely you should know that in Canada Harley has one DEALER only- Trev Deeley Motorcycles. The rest are only "retailers" and Deeley will not release any bike to a retailer until is has been paid for. That's why they have a "floor plan" for financing their allocation. Nobody in Canada gets bikes from Deeley on consignment as your comment would suggest.
