I just installed the Fuel Moto package, PC-V, Jackpots and an SE A/C kit.
My question is, the two bolts mounting the backing plate to the heads on the A/C, they have "O" rings on them and seal up the holes. I thought this was the crank case ventilation. Did I get the wrong kit or did I miss something? I dont see how the crank case vents.
Havent fired it up yet, got finished too late last night, wanted to check here before I ran it.
It is a vent. If you look at the stem that mounts to the heads (O-ring on the end) you will see it is hollow. Vents out to the intake side of the A/C unit.
Yep, what rocknrod said... I was surprised to see those little O-rings, but I suppose they are one more measure to keep grit from the motor or oil from escaping the crankcase ventilation feature.
Thanks for the reply, took it out for a spin after everything was put back together and cleaned up. Ran great, like a new bike.
Sounds and runs like it should now.
I had trouble keeping the o-rings in place while tightening the bolts. I damaged one. I took back off and use a little grease in the groove to hold the 0-ring in place, worked like a charm!!
