Never used mine, took it off. I like the extra room for my foot.

This is my first bike with one and I got used to it pretty quick. I just pick up my foot and step on it to up shift. I like it.

I use mine all the time (now). I have them adjusted so the space between them is a little smaller than my boot so I can rest my foot on the shifters just long enough to go through the gears. I like it.[8D]

Most everyone I know take them off. I also took mine off and to my surprise
I enjoy the extra room on my footboard, more comfort is a good thing.
Just a matter of preference.

You might consider the Kuryakyn piece for that..

http://kuryakyn.com/products.asp?bn=harley&ci=2468

I have the PN/1031 from that page.. and it allows the toe shift lever to move out to the end of the shaft. Seemd more comfortable to me...

Having never used mine and especially after reading about the snags at stop signs, I'm removing mine!
