Heel toe shifter
Mine felt a bit wierd to me for the first afternoon I owned the bike. 17 years later, I don't think I could even ride a bike that DIDN'T have a heel shifter. I'm that used to it.
I bought that Heritage a week ago. Part of the deal was the salesman had to remove the heel shifter before I drove it home.
I hated it. Besides, everyone knows you can't teach an old dog new tricks.

I didn't like my heel shifter either, and never use it. It was always in the way just where I wanted to put my foot. It was put on last, and stuck out too far into the footboard. I removed them both, and put the toe shifter back on by it'self, but it just didn't look right. So I decided to put the heel shifter on FIRST, then the toe shifter. The toe sets out a little farther now and is easier to use, and the heel shifter is about an inch closer to the case making easier to get my foot around. Check yours. Easy to switch around or remove.

Didn’t think I could get used to putting my foot back into the space between the levers without inadvertently sometimes changing gear.
I like the heel shifter on my Road Glide, but I removed it from the Xbones as the floor boards are smaller on the Xbones and needed the room for my foot.. You can take it off, Harley sells a little cover for around $20 that will cover the end of the linkage for taking the heel shifter off..
