LOCOPILOT750: Thanks for that suggestion; I never thought about "reversing"
the two levers. I rode my FXDL for three years with only the
toe shifter and I'm still trying to adjust to both levers on my new FLHTK.
Even now after three weeks, I'm still not totally comfortable with heel and
toe, but, instead of removing the heel lever (as I was planning on doing
this weekend), I may try your suggestion....
I kept hitting mine at first too, but after adding the HarleyGoodies floorboard extensions, and replacing my HD seat with a Mustang wide touring, I am very comfortable with the shifter and my leg geometry is just right to use it comfortably. Now I love the heal shifter.
I took mine off and adjusted it to where I like it now I don't think I would like to ride without one. Before I sold my 2009 Bonneville T100 which didn't have one that is the biggest thing on her that I missed. I have floorboards not sure what you have but it's a keeper
Tried it on my FB Lo. Gave it about 100 miles and decided I didn't like it. Purchased the cover and took off the heal shifter and have been happy ever since.
