Went for a ride yesterday and when I got home I noticed that my primary was louder than usual sounds like the noise is coming from my clutch pack but not so sure. Bike shifts fine and the clutch dosen't seem to be hanging up.
I'm going to put on the lift this morning and check the fluid level and chain adjustment. I was wondering if there's anything else I should look for?
By the way my rides an 05 RK
A loose chain can sound like that when it hits the cover.
Just checked fluid is low and chain is with in spec 5/8- 7/8 in. going to chand fluid and tighten chain just a smidge. clutch pack seams good and compensator seams good.
Had the same noise comming from the primary on my Road King, The compensator nut had backed off. I removed the nut, cleaned it up, new locktite and retorqued the nut, Now everything is good again. I hope this helps... Joe
