Have already done seach... bike charges fine for awhile then stops charging batt & eng light come on. Ride awhile then it starts to charge then does'nt. checked and cleaned plugs on voltage reg checked batt cables tight wires seem to be fine. removed primarey cover no burnt smell from stator. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. bike is 06 ultra

 

Had the same problem on my 04 ultra and it ended up being the voltage regulator. I went back with the chrome one, it was less than the black stock replacement by a few bucks for some reason and looked much better.
