You can tell a big difference with and w/o in the winter with lowers.

You run the Hogg Chopps, I presume... My buddy has a UC, and say his legs and feet still get damp, as I don't know of any lowers will eliminate water all together, but I would like to eliminate as much as I can...

No I had the vented lowers on my EGC. Currently not running any on my RG but am close to pulling the trigger on the Hogg Chopps. The vented lowers did offer some protection from the rain but nothing is gonna keep all the water off of ya. That is where rain gear comes in handy.

The hog chopps look cool, I have been thinking of getting a set for my RKC, I have soft lowers on it now, they keep most all of the cold away from my feet, went for a ride today, my head got way cold, but my feet, in tennis shoes stayed nice and tosty, how well do the hogg chopps work for that?
Thanks
Terry

Edited to say: Never mind I thought I had read all of the posts, but I guess I missed a page.
THanks anyway

I have them on my RG and they do not completely block the wind. They sit further forward than the stock ones and are narrower. They do the job to keep you legs out of the airflow and to cut down on buffeting coming up from the bottom of the fairing. They are worth the money. When you see how the front fender has to clear them on a left or right turn you'll understand the design better.
