LOL This is funny. I've always thought people really worry too much about what people wear. It's like if I said I ride in shorts and sneakers I'd get blasted all over the forum..... But I also wear HD branded clothes so I'm a poser anyway....lol
OK OK OK Not to be the one to argue or be serious on a some what light topic but this forum has nothing to do with age. I am 23. I also ride a RG. I do not come on here bashing or bad talking others. I am by nature a smart a$$ but not on here because why? I think it really boils down to a muturity level. When I was in the "softail" section with my XBs it was all about whos bike was cooler and whos got the coolest stuff for it. Not like here were we may get off topic (almost every thread) but we still maintain ourselfs to some exetent, we have fun and usally I personally learn something new about everytime. Well I am not done so you can all start bashing me and telling me im goofy.
I know that I can be an AHOLE, DUMBASS, SMARTASS, and ***** simutaneously at one time, at least according to my wife.
I posted about some not so smart guys with there wives on the back wearing wife beater, shorts and flip flops going 85MPH on the interstate in General Harley Talk and everyone flamed me.
I guess non of them had ever seen road rash so bad that bones where hanging out, like I have.
I just think, in general, the folks riding the touring bikes are just different. I know there are younger folks riding them also, but for the most part I bet most of them are older, more mature, etc. That's not to say that folks riding softtails, sporties, etc are not older or mature but I know until I was over say 35 I wouldn't have even looked at an Ultra, for example. I'd still like to get on a V-Rod Muscle and burn up some pavement but when it's time to ride, give me my touring frame and a nice comfortable seat.
Maybe I'm full of ****, who knows, that's just what it seems like to me.

That's got nothing to do with age, that's just plain old lack of taste......... Just kidding, I had to be a smart a$$hole for a second, I was feeling left out........I think I meant "mental age" more than anything. Don't get me wrong, we have our share of goofy conversations here, but it seems more prevelant over there. Some guys try so hard to not be a "poser" that they are posing as non-posers. Oh well, I need to go top of my HD coffee mug....
Let me start off by saying you guys are alright in my book. Sure, we have a few resident a$$holes and smart a$$es, but usually its all in good fun. I poke my head into the Sporty forum once in a while, just to see what's new and check out stuff for the Iron. It seems like every time I go in there, there is another thread that starts, "Do you wear xxxx when you ride?" Its been everything from HD shirts to chaps, bandanas, you name it. There are a couple dudes over there that jump righ into the poser thing, or the "I'm too cool for this or that" You'd think a few of them ride naked or something, cause they are too cool to wear anything. Its unreal to me....Anyway, just wanted to rant a bit to my bagger buddies. Maybe its the age difference....
Well, You're alright in my book too. different types of people are what makes life interesting.
I used to be a smart a$$ and a a$$ hole. Now I'm just an old dumb a$$, too old, tired, and beat up to put up much of a fight. -----And now that I think about it, It don't bother me too much.
