I'll keep my SG for several years. I just bought it in April and it's paid for. I see nothing to upgrade to. If I later want an Ultra, I'll just add the pack and extras. I think adding a new part every now and then helps keep one's interests up.

Since I had to sell my '03 NightTrain because of a divorce I will never let myself get into that position again.

I'll keep this one until they pry my dead lifeless fingers off of it. Besides I can always add it it or add another bike. Never subtract!

I said forever, yet who knows how long forever is.

Unlike my brother who has gone through 30 Harleys in 37 years, I plan to keep mine for awhile.

I have had this one (02 Ultra) for nearly five years, and 40,000 miles. I bought it for retirement use so I probably have bought my last one. Nothing the newer ones have has motivated me to trade for newer, plus I expect this bike to remain what it is: Ultra Classic.

Hoping to get 150,000 miles out of it.
