I just saw what bike you have. On my 06 FLHT I had four horns in 18 months ( all paid for by HD ) water ingress is the problem, sometimes spraying WD40 into the horn helps.
It was the horn. Servicl Maunal says ohm meter should read between 45 and 66 between the two contacts. It was only 12 I got a new 132dbl from pep boys for $19.99 and installed it in 5 mins. Safe again Safe again. Thanks for your input to those who responded.
DamifIknow,
Could you please post a picture of you're new horn.
Sounds lke the same problem I had with my stock horn. I think they become damaged if they get water in them. I replaced it with another original stock horn and have had no more problems.
Hello all, first post here but have been gleaming info from here for about a year, and you guys rock! Seached horn problem today and found this thread, went to Auto Zone and picked up the 132db horn (High Tone). A little tight around the terminals and the bell protrudes a little out the bottom of the cover, but for $19.99 it's a steal and very loud. Thanks again!

Thats the one I got. I think it was the E model. Highway Blaster. Got it at Pep Boys.
I got the "Black" one because my bike is black.
