I dont think so. It may stay on forever but not lubricated. Take a set of hand grips. the bicyc;e rubber ones. Soak the inside with wd40 and turn it over and let the stuff drip out. Now slide it on a bar and wait about 5 minutes. They will be stuck on the bars VERY WELL. Just like glue till they get wet underneath or cut off. We used to do this all the time. Once the stuff cdrys or somethin it helps in sticking.
