pcv problems ?
my 09 streetglide just started being red headed stepchild,and the dealer is not sure what the problem is. ridin down the road just fine and all of a sudden the throttle don't work. i can get it home on limp mode. works sometimes and not others.first dealer says its not the throttle sensor may be the ecm or pcv. road it today for 75 miles, started doing it again. got to another dealer before they closed to drop off and had to call for a ride home, very frustrating. just wondering before i call jamie at fuel moto, if any of u guys have had a similiar problem.

if the dealer pulls ya to one side after they have seen your PC V and says he has a special deal on the Screaming Eagle Super Tuner for 499.99 and a Dyno run for half the regular price.... Run away and take your bike with you.

I had a similar problem when I engaged cruise on my ultra. The problem started one day and was repeatable. Took off the PCV & hooked up the oxygen sensors. The problem went away. I sent Jamie an email and he asked me to send the PCV back for testing. I got it back in a few days. I haven't put the PCV back on yet to see what happens. I'd email or talk to Jamie.

I agree with Bigdumbnoitall, but I would bypass the PCV first and then look to changing the AC back to stock if it still acts stupid. Also, double-check the O2-sensor eliminators are installed properly. It is also possible you bent a pin on the main connector, as this happens rarely. It seems odd it would work fine, then screw up later on in the ride.

i unplugged the pcv and plugged it back in the normal way bypassing the the pcv and it still did it. it does it sometimes both ways. the one dealer where it is at said that the pcv might have messed up the ecm, not sure how that is possible. it doesn't do it all the time

thats what i'm afraid is going to happen.dealer is going to to say pcv caused ecm to go bad so it's not covered under warranty. the dealer where it is at hates anything but harley products.but they are a really good dealer besides that.

Same thing happened to me at Sturgis. I got it to Black Hills HD on Friday. About 3 in the afternoon they found the problem. The fuel pump on and off wire goes through the harness into the PCV. The wire was intermittent. So basically I would be riding and the fuel pump would turn off. The problem was in the PCV though. Removing the PCV the bike ran fine. Called Jamie late in the afternoon and he overnighted me a new PCV at the campground I was staying. Installed it and it works fine. I was told you could hear the fuel pump turning on and off. I could not. Great to deal with Fuel Moto because any other company would want the part first.
