Stage One Question
The SE air cleaner, power commander and V&H slip-on helped me while cruising in 6th gear. I can now hit a hill and not have to downshift to 5th. Also a big thanks to Jamie at FuelMoto. I had some popping on decel with the map they loaded. I called Jamie and he instructed to put 10 in the 0% TP col. from 1750 to 5000 rpm ( from and back cylinder), worked like a charm. It wasn't too hard for a "country boy" that computer illiterate. I'm glad I went with FM thanks to the praise of customer service from all the riders on this forum.
all you need now is the screamin eagle air cleaner which gets rid of that choked down intake that your stock system has, and the stage one download or flash which supposedly richens the fuel system slightly, but also lets the motor rev to 6200 rpm rather than the stock 5500. it's a lot of bang for the buck actually. there aren't many totally stock harleys out there because it increases the efficiency so much to do the stage one. the improvements you will see, are additional power, better fuel economy, a real harley sound, cooler running, and it won't feel dorky anymore. the last one, "won't feel dorky" is probably the best reason though.
As said before no sound difference with stage 1, but if you do the 103 set up you will definatly here a sound difference. Heard a SG monday at the dealership with the 103, rienharts, and thunder monster baffles and that thing sounded sweet even at idle, definatly going to be one of my mods.
