Default Anyone with 09 RG and filler strips

I just got my saddle bag filler strips for my 09 RG and for the life of me I can not see how they attach other than the bottom hole. Could someone post a pic or 2 for me so I can figure this out?

I didn't think they worked with the RG? I only say this because I looked at the kit to get rid of my saddle bag guards (which is on your bike I believe) and the P&A book said that it didn't work with filler strips. It mounts to the bolt that connects to the bottom of the saddle bag supports, my camera is MIA thanks to my girls most recent giunea pig photoshoot....I circled the spot in red in the attached pic......

Well your right, they aren't supposed to work. But since they were "special order" and wouldn't take them back, I decided to make them work.

I used the bolt that you circled in your photo and used some pretty stout zip ties to hold the top end of the filler strip. Looks perfect to me. The bottom bolt is IMHO more than enough to hold it in place, the zip ties will just keep it from moving left and right. On the radio antenna side, I removed the antenna bracket, removed the connector from the bracket and reattached the antenna to the wire. I couldn't make it work with the filler strip in the stock location, so I zip tied it along the fender under the strut and to the frame. I did use the HD shorty antenna though. So I killed 2 birds with one stone, filler strips and a hidden antenna.

+1 on innovation. Great to read a thread where someone made something work that didn't fit HD's scheme of things. Nice Job; looks great.

PS: Necessity is the mother of invention: special order + no return for refund = gotta make it work.
