05 Screaming Eagle Electra Glide vs. 2010 Heritage Softail?
I am thinking about buying one or the other. The 05 S.E. has 22,000 miles but looks brand new. A new set of Rhineharts true duals, upgraded engine with headers, cams, and gears. It is in the 100/100 club. $19,500 or the Heritage is new. Any opinions?
It would depend on how you plan to use it. I would take the SE EG over the Heritage Softail, as the wife and I would be more comfortable when touring. I like the gear drive and cams in my scoot, gives me more usable grunt in the powerband that we ride in.
The new models have improvements over older models but I have no plans to get rid of my 02 EGC. Will pickup a Vrod down the road for tooling around by myself.

Two very different Motorcycles - really no comparison and you are asking this question on a Touring forum... I can not say what is best for you - I would NOT pick a heritage for any reason, but thats me - you asked...
I've had both and I would take the 05 hands down. I Love my Electra Glide
+1 on this course of bike ownership. My '03 Heritage (pearl white) was my first HD, and though it was a beautiful bike, we pushed its limits when we did any kind of road trip. Anything more than just the wife and me, and we were maxing out the suspension. It was fun around town, but we love getting on the bike for all-day trips, multi-day trips, etc...and now that we've put 40k miles on the '05 Ultra, there is no going back for us... Sooo, it depends on how you'll be riding.
I've tried to convince myself a Heritage is for me. I just love the look. They just look like a motorcycle. But, I keep on buying & riding the Harley touring bikes. My wife & I really enjoy traveling on our scooters, and nothing beats a Harley touring bike for long distance riding, especially 2 up. Additionally, I can't imagine riding solo on anything but a Harley touring bike. Once you get over the initial shock of the size & weight, nothing handles like a Harley FL. They're elephants in the parking lot, but gazells on the road.
