Default Seat Question

Anyone have a comfort stitch on their Road King, I have a 04 RK and my wife doesn't like the stock seat, thinking on getting the comfort stitch, the back seat is 16" wide and am concerned about the saddle bags opening. Any experiance with this seat!!

I just bought one Friday. In fact, I have it listed for sale in the classified section if you're interested in it. The saddle bags will open just fine. Your wife will absolutely love it! It will however, move your riding position up a little, and slightly forward. That's why I'm not keeping it.

I sent my Sundowner to Mad City Cycles for their rider and pillion fix. My Lady is so much more comfortable. I highly recommend them.

I put my stock seat back on. And yes, I mean higher. The whole seat is a lot higher than the stock seat. I can still flat foot the bike while sitting still, but it sits me several inches higher than the stock one, as well as a little forward. Your wife would love the back half of it, as it's huge compared to the stocker. Wether or not you would like the front half, will depend on how and where you sit on the stock one. I'm kind of lanky, with horrible postur. I sit with my *** all the way back on the stock seat, legs stretched out to the highway pegs, with me kinda hunched over on the bike. That's what is comfortable to me. If you sit more straight up, and more centered in the stock seat, this one may work fine for you. Here's a pic of the seat on my bike. When someone comes home later to help with the camera, I'll try and get some pics of me on it, as well as me on the stock seat. Maybe that will help show you the difference.

Man!!! Thanks for all the help, I can see were you are sitting foward. I guess what I need to do is go to a dealer and find on to sit on, I read some were that the Ultra's have this seat standard on it, just don't know if will be the same set up as the RK. Thanks for the info.

No problem. I'd hate to see you spend a bunch of money like I did, and not be happy. If you have any more questions about it, let me know. If you decide that you do want one, remember, mine is for sale......
