Hi folks, I need some exhaust advice, the scale I am going by is a 1-10 (loudness), stock pipes are a 1, straight pipes are a 10, the pipes I have now are the thunder header slip ons, they are a 7, I am looking for something around a 4, any suggestions, there are so many pipes out there to choose from, I am staying with the stock head pipes.
Supertrapp SE's or Supertrapp Fatshots are quieter and offer good performance. You can also tune the noise level on these by installing of removing discs so you can get the balance you desire.

thanks for your help.
I went with the Rush and the 1.5 baffles along with the new packing from Jamie at Fuel Moto and it put it around a 3 or 4, you get the nice rummble at idel and the nice harley sound with hitting the throttle, but at crusing speed it really mellows out so that you can enjoy the ride. That is the route I took and it worked out great.
When I got my new set of Rush I took the baffles out and they only come about 1/4 of an inch thick of packing, when you get the new packing from Jamie it triples that so you get less noise.
I love my Supertrapp SE's. Probably about a 4 on your scale. Great low tone. These do not have the discs that you can add or delete. Just a full length baffle.
Local PD had a reading of 100 Db from 6 ft away
at 1000 rpm on my Rush with 2" baffles.....deep but not loud.
Smaller baffles will lessen the Db ratings.....Like mentioned by
another member, maybe the Rush with 1.5" baffles are
just what the doctor ordered.
Pipes and sound/loudness or so subjective but if you get a chance go to a bike nite event or similiar. Bikers are always proud to show off there pipes ! I hate rating on 1-10 scale but I think the Bub 7 Slip Ons would be somewhere in middle range. Take a read on this thread for more. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...d-oh-yeah.html

Quick question... is it just the volume of the theaders or also the tone that you don't like?
If you want some that sound like a Harley, look damn good, are loud but not too loud mabye a 6, then look at B&E superflows Max 2. $157 shipped. I have them and woudn't want anything else, and I've heard most of the others.
