Has anyone run the newest touring front tire(D408F) long enough to determine if the wear problem has been sorted out. I need to replace my 407F, but if the 408F is not any better I am going to try a 140/80-17 ME880.

Hope someone chimes in on this, got the same problem with my 407, cupped like a bad boy, but do have almost 18,000 miles on it. Talked to a guy on the 9-11 ride, he went to the 408 but cant remember how many miles he had on it so far.

10k miles
No cupping on my 09 RG front. Some flattening in the center of rear tire, which I think was due to carrying a lot of baggage on my 5300 road trip this past June. All-in-all, I'm happy with the tires at 10,000 miles. I've seen much worse in shorter time frames with much less mileage for sure.

Ok fellows here is the deal from my neck of the woods, My buddy just had his replaced free of charge at the dealer, apparently some of these early tires were made wrong, something to do with the direction arrow and the tread being back asswards, but he did get his replaced last thursday, I also have an 09 ultra and Im looking to get some clarification on this, according to my buddy who talked to the harley rep, the problem is with the early 09's, he purchased his 12/08, I just bought mine, but if i hear anything else I keep you guys posted. by the way I did see his front tire it was cupped bad, but it did have 18k on it, crazy sob rode to the artic circle.LOl
