Help needed FLTRX
Just got a 2010 red road glide custom, very nice bike for the 77 miles I rode it, wife got to work today and found that she will be done in 2 weeks, my work is very slow no overtime for the last year, I only have a small loan ($6000) on the bike but need to unload it because cash will be needed.
What is the best way to go about this, dearler will by it back but not for much. I would use e-bay but I dont have a title because of the loan.
I know I will get some good answers and some strange offers for the board, but this is a serious matter to me any help would be great.

Does ebay require you to have a title with no lien on it? Seems like you would be able to sell it there just like any other and provide the buyer with a lien once you get it. I've bought and sold a couple of vehicles like that, although not through ebay.... Sorry about your situation. Hopefully it will turn around and you can keep the ride.

What options did you get? Cruise, ABS, Hard Lowers, etc? Did you pay full MSRP + freight / set up? Unfortunately, it is a buyers market, and as soon as you walk off that floor, you immediately take a hit on the sales tax, freight / prep, and some bike depreciation. One way out of it would be to have a person pay off your loan and self-finance, but that is a HUGE risk unless you know that the person is legit, and will honor their agreement. You can try eBay / Craigslist / Chopper Exchange, but the price will have to be appealing enough that someone would want to buy it from you, and not the dealer. I am already experiencing dealers willing to negotiate some on the 2010's because the stock is coming in faster than they are going out the door at this point, and they are still trying to get rid of 2009's. Let me know... my eyes / ears / wallet is still part open to this bike.

Only option on the bike was the alarm, I did add the detachable 2-up tourpak rack and brackets, the color matched full size not chopped tour pack and backrest are on order but not in yet.

I was strapped for cash just like you when me and my wife both got laid off. You need to wait a couple of days and think it out. Also i have sold many cars and bikes on e-bay with liens on them with no problems. PM me for any questions if i can help. I have been exactly where you are now. Hope it all works out good luck!!!

If it is an option I would divert funds to pay off the remaining balance of 6K it would make selling the bike easier with the title in hand. As far as selling the bike, I had great success selling my bike (2003 HD Deuce) on Craigs list. I advertised it on the forum classified and had no success. It took about a week on Craigs list and the gentleman came from New Mexico to California to buy my bike. We had several long conversations on the phone and I told him I was a law enforcement officer and that I have invested many cases of fraud and forgery. In my case, I told the gentleman that I would only accept a cashiers check from a bank (Bank of America). He gave me the check number and I verified the check with Bank of America as being valid. The only way I would accept a personal check is with the understanding that the bike would remain in my possession until the check clears.
