Default Hogg Chopps

After a review of alternatives I placed an order yesterday for a pair of Hogg Chopps vivid black lowers. I really wanted something to control the buffering on my 06 street glide as the primary reason. I really like the looks of the Hogg chopps (as opposed instead to the HD vented) and have no need for glove boxes in the future. Since they set forward I will not feel so crowded and will be able to use much of the exposed engine guard for my pegs and fog lights (if they align properly as someone else on this forum has already done).
They claim 7-10 days and they will be shipped. Nice pricing on these as well.
Thanks to those that have already made purchases and have placed up reviews and pictures of your projects. It simplifies the decision process for many others and makes this forum what is intended to be.

Let me know what you think of them, and of course post some pics.! I've been waffling back and forth as to getting the HoggChopps or go with vented lowers. I like that i can use the Chopps on my mustache engine guard, but i am not sure that i am sold on the look or the lack of glove box

I'll be watching for your photos and review as well. Might be nice in the Spring and Fall.

I've had mine on for over a year and a half. I do NOT own a Dremel tool. They do not hit my fender, turning, bumping or at any other time..

I got a pair last year for my 06 SG. You may want to concider paying the extra $$$ ($75 I think) to get the inside painted vivid black too. Just call Andy there and make the request before he sends them out for painting. Otherwise the color is a flat black and when looking at the bike from the rear, the flat black can look unfinished. They'll look much better with the gloss finish all around. You won't reget spending the extra money, I wish I had.

Regarding the fit and interference, you have to position them just right but once that is done, they don't contact any parts of the bike.

A buddy has them on his 05 RK. They don't hit the fender.

A number of guys here on the forum have been running them without problems. Are you running a stock sg fender in the stock position? Where did you experience the rubbing, and what did you have to do to fix it?
