I put a Reduced Effort Clutch kit (PN 36808-05) in my wife's '05 FLSTN since she has small hands and struggled with the resistance of the lever. This worked well for her, but now she'll be mving up to an '09 FLHX (picking it up this weekend). I seem to recall that the reduced effort mechanisms were now standard (including the touring line). Is this true?? I just got an '09 FLTR and my clutch seems much easier than my prior '06 FHLR and as such, would seem to support this notion.....or maybe it's just easier for my with my big'ol hands!
They do have reduced effort. You might want to look at teh Kury Boss Blades that have a shorter reach and nice curved edge.
Just to close this thread, I bought a set of these Boss Blades and have to confess I was pretty disappointed. I held them directly over the existing levers and IF I gained 1/16" I'd be lucky....probably not even that much. It wasn't worth the cost or the swap, so I'm sending'em back. It was worth a shot and you never know until you try - thanks for the suggestion.
