Default Ultra Front Bumper ???

I am getting a 2010 Ultra (not in yet) and was wondering about removing the reflector on the bumper. Is it just stuck on or riveted through the rubber? I like the look of the bumpers on the Ultra's and plan on leaving it there but would like to lose the reflector.

Any thoughts or pics of those that have done this?

Thanks

Default Ultra front bumper

I would like to add to your post if you don't mind. Can you also remove the front bumper without leaving any visable holes?

I don't think thats a reflector it lights up,so it may not be removable. But then again they offer them as an accessory on other bikes so maybe you can.

The reflectors on the side (rubber) not the fender tip light.

Yes you can remove them without visible holes. They bolt to the fork leg where the fender mounts and there is a nut on the backside if the fender tip light.

I still don't know how the reflector mounts.

Okay, I just removed both of my bumpers tonight (1/2 hour ago). The reflectors on the front bumper have a post off of the back of them. There is a spring nut/clip on the post. You would have to remove the front bumper in order to get to this nut/clip. It would be tough to remove this clip without breaking the post. It is pressed/pushed onto the post. If you need me to, I can get you a picture of it but it will be a few days. And yes, you will have about an 1/8" hole in the black rubber bumper (you would have to look close to see it).

I removed mine from my '08, it was glued on and also had a post that went thru the rubber with a nut on the other side. I replaced it with license plate plastic screw that a chrome cap snaps on.

You can take the whole rubber piece out which is a nice look also. I blacked out the center brace so it really doesn't show fr front.
