I'd do the Z's over the gold. We never have had any issues. Wait I take that back, I had a clsoe buddy, go figures and he got his to squeak. Fisrt set I've heard do that. However it could be he is having a caliper issue. It maybe possible he is having a caliper issue, because he does have a lot of miles on his bike
Well a lot of opinions and that's what I was looking for. Some of the post are by people that don't have Brembo brakes and I am sure not all pads work the same on these brakes. I have been putting up with the "FREAKIN SQUEAL" for 13K miles. I am putting on new tires soon and want to get rid of it. Any good brake pad will lock up the rear wheel with enough pressure, really want to end the squealing.

I can't agree more. I replaced mine at 6000 miles. Pulling up to a stop sign on a 20K bike and squealing just doesn't make any sense. As I posted before, I was willing to pay extra for the gold pads if that fixed the problem. I think the lyndall gold pads are harder than the Z+ pads, the gold still squealed. I called Paul and Lyndall he sent me Z+ pads and the brake compound. I have had the Z+ on for over 3000 miles and have been very happy. There are many people who sell the lyndall pads, but Paul was very willing to help with the squeal on my bike. Call Lyndall, ask for Paul, tell him your problem and see what he will work for you. Be sure to tell him your are a HD forum member.
I have used the Z+ on all of my bikes for years. I like the low dusting as compared to stock pads. I just installed them on my 08 with Brembo system and my squeal is finally gone. I know HD issued a fix for this but I guess I would rather fix it myself. I am happy that the noise is gone but I do feel that on this bike, they do not stop as well as the OE pads and I feel the bike needs more pressure on the master cylinder to get it to stop.
I have only had one issue with squeal with the Z+ pads and that is on my 03. No matter what I do I can't get it to stop. I even changed over to floating rotors and rebuilt the calipers but no change. Maybe I will give Paul a call.
I've been using the EBC Kevlar for years. I would assume the sintered pads might cause more wear on the rotor due to the metal content. Have you noticed any that you would consider above-normal?
