Default Any New Suggestions for this problem....

I am trying to help out one of my brothers out in our club. He is very short and has lowered his 2011 Street Glide three inches using lowering blocks. While working on his bike last weekend, it almost knocked over on my when I was screwing in the lower screw for his fairing.

I am thinking of bending the kickstand for him because I cannot find a kickstand wedge for a 2011 model. Or maybe washers may work.

Any ideas ???

Thanks,

Scott

i know this is old but i just had to deal with this issue. not sure what years this applies to but there is no kickstand wedge needed. i have a 2012 SG lowered 1" with a Arlen Ness 1" lowered kickstand and a Brukus puck on it. the puck is a must for me cause i park in soft areas a lot, especially gravel. there is no kickstand wedge for my year so i improvised. i loosened all 3 bolts for the kickstand plate and installed 2 thick washers on the bottom bolt and viola, fixed. depending on how much lean you want, use 1-3 washers.

I have a 2016 Road Glide and put dirty air ride kit on back. The back drops like 3 inched below stock and it still sits well on the stand. Once I add air to the front, I am assuming I will need to buy a stand. My thoughts are the MRI center stand is what I will choose.

I lowered my softail and install an Arlen Ness 1" shorter jiffy stand, I think the same would apply to a street glide. Here are some links that may point you in the right direction.

I lowered my SG 1" at the front and 1" at the rear. While cleaning the bike I turned the handlebars from the left to right. The bike almost fell over. I was lucky since I was standing on the right side of the bike and caught the bike before it fell over. I replace the stock length kickstand with a 1" lower kickstand to get more of a lean.
