Default Tires for 07 Road King Classic

Have been trying to find out with no answers yet, Does anyone know if I can put the new Dunlaps that come on the 09's on a 07, I know that the size is the same but the rear is wider, will a 07 except the new rear tire? Any help on this would be great. Thanks

The reception for the new 407/408's hasn't been exactly what I would call favorable, and many owners of newer bikes want more options which they don't now have. You are lucky in that you have many options, including the Dunlop E3 which is getting very favorable feedback from owners here and elsewhere. Why would you want a 407/408 when the E3's are readily available for your bike? Of course if you must have WW you will have to look elsewhere, as E3's only come in BW's.

Considering a 160-80-16 E3 barely fits (and I'm talking by mm's or fractions thereof) on an '07 the 180-65-16 407 will certainly not fit.

I contacted Dunlop a couple weeks back on any plans to add a WW to the E3 selection. Was told no plans to do this.

I've settled on the stock Dunlop D402s for my '06 RK Classic. They give good grip, and better wear life than some of the other brands I've tried (Metzler). On average, I get 9-10K out of a Dunlop rear and 20K-ish out of a front. Get the correct sized tire for your rim and you will not run into troubles.

I put 15-18K miles on my bike per year, so I end up going through two rear tires and one front per riding season. In the heart of the riding season it always seems like I just changed out my rear tire and it is near the wear bars again. Then I look at the odometer...

No WW Walls for the Elite 3s due to contract with Harley to supply OEM tires?
