I've been keeping an eye on my mileage this last couple of weeks and found that I'm only getting around 32 miles to the gallon (city and highway combined). Can anyone tell me how far of the mark I am. I'm running tru duals, V& H ovals and the V & H FuelPak. I am just over 4k miles on an '05 RKC.
Get a good tuner, I perfer SERT but PCIII will do. Lose the True Duals! You'll get better performance and mileage with a 2-1, even a crossover. I have no experience with the fuel pack but I'd guess that'll work. I run a Mentor Fuel Processor and have achieved an amazing 55 MPG riding near Bryce Canyon with my wife.
Basically, even with Ture Duals, you shold be getting 40+ if you are properly tuned. Too many rely on tuners that just don't get it!
I have V&H big shot's, arlen ness big sucker & I get between 45- 50 all the time, cept Memorial Day weekend up in the Colorado Rockies, I was getting 55 + on every tank. (4) tank fulls up there. I was happy till another guy I talked to at a station said he was getting 60.
I get about 36-38 depending on how hard I ride it. If I always nursed it I would be 40-42. I pulled the plugs last night with 6000 miles on them....a little lean, but not bad.
I've put 30K on since I got my ULTRA and I'm still getting the same mileage as when new. 40mpg at high interstate speeds, 50 or close to it on 2 lane roads @ 55mph.
I started out with SE Air Cleaner, Stage 1 download and SE Slash cuts. Changed pipes out to Reinhart true duals. Mileage stayed the same. Mileage IMHO really depends on how hard you ride it. I know several folks who ride it like they stole it and their mileage sucks.
