I'll most likely be replacing both anyway...but I'm getting the 'burning' shoulder blades and sore upper back with my RKing Classic with stock seat/bars. Should I go for the seat first or the handlebars? Thinking the SunDowner and Chubby 508/518's. Just wondering what works for you. 6'-170lbs
I have the sundowner and the chubby bars and like it, considering the expense and your height I would suggest stopping by a HD dealer that has a bar and seat sizer on their show room and try out a few different combo's. The harley extended bars are close enough when comparing to the chubby's.

GET SUNDOWNER AND PUT SOME HERITAGE BARS ON IT YOU WILL BE FINE.DO BOTH AT THE SAME TIME . I DID THE SEAT FIRST ,BUT THE BARS WERE THE ULTIMATE SOLUTION

I would have said seat first, but since you are going with Sundowner, it will need to be both bars and seat. The Sundowner is a far better seat then the stock; but doesn't really move your position.
If you were looking into a Corbin seat, it will set you back and down about 1in. and I would have said seat first
PS...
I can sell both the 518's and Sundowner off my RKC. Depending on if you have your controls change or not could be pre-wired.
I did both on my Classic. Corbin seat took care of butt and lower back and reduched reach bars fixed shoulders and wrists. Now all day log is no problem.
Bars first. I don't know ANYBODY that has been comfortable with the stock bars. The Heritage bar seems to work well as others have mentioned........someone probably has them and you can sit on his bike and get the feel. Flanders makes a wide selection of handlebars of very high quality.....you might find a better bar there if the Heritage isn't quite right.

You might try and lossen the stock bars and rotate them your way a bit - that has helped a few. The ultimated choice is the longer bars. An easy change - DIY.
Bars first, then seat. Both at some time preferrable. I went with Heritage Chrome bars and a HD Comfort Stitch, but to do it again, would consider the Sundowner.
