My 407F Story
When my bike was ready the self proclaimed "service expert" told me he put the proper pressure in both tires and finished the ABS calibration. I told him I know he is BSing me about the tire pressure being the cause and all of the 407 tires have this wear problem which is the reason for the rolling change in tire pattern. He asked so what did you expect us to replace it and eat the cost? My response was "no I was just seeing how you would handle it and thank you" and left. Of course my thoughts are only an exceptional dealer would replace the tire and eat the cost, an average dealer would honestly explain the issue and show their frustration maybe even provide a discount for a tire replacement. Of course then their are the dealers who flat out lie to your face as my dealer did. Since they lied to me I obviously no longer trust them and never will return to that service department, after all if they are lying about that what else would they lie about!
Sorry, but if your tires were in-fact 6 psi low, then I can see why they won't warranty the tire. First thing you should have done before taking it to the dealer was to make sure tires had the MoCo recommended tire pressure.
