I was looking into getting some of these untill i can afford hard lowers, but you cant have highway pegs on your engine gaurd with these soft lowers right?
I keep a set of vinyl lowers in my saddlebags. I put them on if the temp gets below 50 degrees. Especially nice if it rains. There are warnings about not keeping them on above a certain temperature or not riding too fast. I generally don't keep them on above 60 degrees. As for speed, I put on about 100 miles last weekend with them on averaging 80 mph with a strong wind. They handled it with no apparent damage.
My Cordura lowers came with openings in the side seams for highway pegs. My pegs were too low for the openings so I just ripped a few more inches of stitching out of the seam. Works fine for me.

Great! thanks for the info...people are saying cant put these on above 60 degrees, whys that?
I mean just doesnt seem like it would matter because the hard lowers on ultra's are fine
The hard lowers have vents which helps cool the front cylinder. I have both. The vinyl lowers block a lot more air. They are not bullspitting on the 50 degree max temp. My bike pings like hell with the vinyl lowers when temps are above 50.
