I've got a question. Is the temp restriction for the lowers or because of the reduced airflow on the motor?
Reduced air flow over the motor.I haven't noticed a big difference in temp.at highway speeds infact it feels like the lowers kind of funnel the air towards the cylinders but at lower speeds you can definately feel the hot air pool around your feet.Nice when it's cold out.
I ride all year 'round here in Baltimore and it's gets fairly cold. I use the vinyl lowers and have been happy. First, less than $100; go on/off quickly and block a good amt of wind. Make for warmer (or less cold) toes when it's 15 degrees and windchill is <0 degrees.
Any suggestions on which ones can be used for the harley mustache bar? I wonder if anyone has tried putting the HD ones on or is there an aftermarket one that might fit them? I just like the look of the HD mustache bar better than the stock engine guard. Thanks for any info'

Leader Motorsports (Desert Dawg lowers) make them for the mustache bar I have them for the stock bar. They also make great mounts for GPS,satalite radio receivers etc.
I bought a set yesterday morning. I left the house and it was about 45 degrees out. My legs were cold and I was thinking of buying a set, so swung by the dealer and picked some up. What a difference! I was comfortable for the rest of the ride until I took them off when if got above 55 degrees. Well worth the money.
