if you don't think a roadglide can look cool, and that they're f'ugly, look at Bobzillas, now that is one sneaky, stealth lookin' roadie. and that windshield of his really looks like a winner too. sleek indeed. great lookin ride bobzilla.

Default Buy a Batwing First!

I was one of the first to own a "Dresser" in my "Hood" as a Young Guy.I bought a Batwing Fairing first. Put 5,307 miles on that paticular Bike, in 13 nites and 14 days, going to "Hog Annuall Rally" in 1989.Seven Bikes made that trip, and its the best Vaca. I've ever been on. I'm glad that I bought the Batwing first, cause if I wouldn't of,I'd be like some of the other Bikers out there that don't really realize what a Bike the Road Glide really is! Not to mention any names, but they really no who they are...ha.ha.ha!Wille G's bike of choice is the Road Glide. He's not such a Dork after all.

Go for it. I bought a new 09 back in April, and I can't get enough of it. I wasn't sure about the look of the fixed fairing on the front at first, but I love it now. The fixed fairing makes low speed tight turns a cinch. You get used to it with your first ride. The fairing gives you good down force on the front end for stability without any wind buffeting on the handlebars like you might get with a fork mounted fairing.

I put a low profile Black Klock Werks windscreen on mine, and it changed the whole look of the bike. The low profile makes you feel like your riding without the fairing, but still keeps alot of the air off of you. I previously had a Dyna and a Fatboy and this is by far my favorite of the 3.

Go for it.

I have got a 2009 Road Glide. Hands down, it's the best. I promptly dumped the mirrors and windshield, but other than that, hey, it was good to go. Tracks really well on the highway and loads of room. You'll love the tunes and cruise control. Friday might be the day for me to play hookey and go for a ride!

Price I think is a little high at $11,800 but I think they might move a little. I have just over $5000 in my Street Bob. So I think I will get a decent trade in price. So if the bike is still there next week, I will see what takes place. I like the Bob but with three bulging disks it is starting to take its toll.
I just picked up an 06 w/ 15K miles for under $12K........Love the ride!!!!
Have a Metric custom that I've been on for 8 years & the RG is smooooth.....Fairing is no biggie......You won't even see it after a 100 miles or so........Only complaints I have is the wind noise & the rear end wiggle in curves....... Definatly needs a stabilizer kit and you'll just have to play around w/ windsheild heights until you find what works........Mine came with a crappy 6" useless shield.......I just picked up an 18" shield that I'll shave down until it's right.........Good Luck on your purchase!
