Just checking how everyone likes there Road Glides. I found a nice 2002 that I am thinking about trading my Street Bob in on. Just wanted some input on how everyone likes them. Any input (positive or negative) is welcome. Thanks in advance.
Just picked up a leftover '09 and couldn't be happier. I feel like I'm on a missile when I ride this thing. I've had a Sportster, Wide Glide, and Street Glide, but this baby is the best yet.
My bro-in-law and both have 2002's...his is a RG and mine is a RKC. I sure love my RKC but I'd trade it on a RG if I ever got the itch for a new bike. It'll be my next HD.
Thanks to everyone who replied. I am hoping to get the finish touches done on my Street Bob by weeks end. If so I will stop by the dealer next week and see what type of deal they will make. That is if the bike is still there. Thanks again.
Even if its gone there are plenty on ebay and around, you just have to look for them. That tells you what good bikes they are as they are much harder to find. I love mine it handles like a dream. +1 on the perfect windshield. It took me 3 and I found the one I like the best. I also would bump the motor to @ least a 103 for some real fun.
Hafta echo what the other Roady riders are sayin'... I went from a Wide Glide, to a Road King to a Road Glide in '05.
Since then, I traded the '05 on my orange Glide, and got a Street Bob to compliment it as an "around towner" type bike. I put exactly 935 miles on the Bob in the 2 years I owned it, with the Road Glide being my main ride. I traded the Bob in on another Road Glide (my '01 SE), and now I split time between the two of them.
I traded my ElectraGlide Classic in on a RoadGlide. Both great bikes but I must say I love how the RG looks and handles much better than the EGC. Took me about a day to get used to the RG's dash being a block in front of me but other than that it was a great switch!
Several days ago I bought my first NEW bike....an 09 RG. I was looking at the EG's, but had a hard time finding one that fit me right (6'8" & 285 lbs). I never liked the look of the RG's, so I never really considered them as a viable option.....until I swung my leg over one. Before my right hand hit the grip, I knew this was the one. I am MUCH less cramped. I did, however, have to dump the stock windshield to make it perfect. It's still an ugly bike (IMHO), but I don't give a ****...I can ride the tank dry...easily.
Traded super glide sport in for my road glide. I wont do the broken record about being best bike in the harley line but, I dont think I want to ride any different model
