I also got a free 2009 RKC loaner on the last trip to the dealer. It's funny, but they never offered one until then. I could have used one several other times.

Mine is paying for itself right now, 06 Ultra with just over 28K miles and it ate the forward inner cam bearing, and the needles went all through the engine doing great damage all the way...new engine is on its way from Harley.

Got the seven year warranty and four year maintance (both unlimited milage) for peace of mind. Its nice to just ride and not have to worry about anything. Ya I can do those certian miles services myself, but now I just tell them when Im comming and the bike is in and out no problems, so far all is well.

I have it on mine because i just don't want to worry about anything going wrong. If i never use it i will be just as happy as i would if it did pay for itself. To me it was a small price to pay for that much coverage.

It was funny when I bought my 08 Ultra and the salesman was trying to push a 3 year extended warranty on me. I asked him what was the longest one the factory offered and it was a 7 year one. I told him that was the one I wanted. He looked at me like that was soooo much easier than usual. I told him Harley will lose without a doubt. My experience with my last 05 EG Standard, that I bought used without a warranty, I was tearing the motor down at 6,000 miles. Not to mention a best friend's experience with his 2006 Ultra CVO that had the motor replaced twice within one year! Yep, Harley extended warranty is the way to go!!!!
