I was taught in art class, many, many years ago that black and white are not colors. They are the absence of colors! Whatever that means...
Close...actually only white is the absence of color, black is all colors combined. So I guess you could call it Vivid Blue Green Red Purple Brown Yellow Green Orange... So they just went with Vivid Black. =)
I think it's the other way around there, meow. Black is the absence of all colors and white is all the colors combined. Green is the absence of all colors except for the reflected green, etc. Stage lights combine the 3 primary colors in 3 different lights to get white. Tube TV's and monitors are the same. If you don't have all 3 guns working properly and balanced, your screen looks red, or blue, etc.
What we see as a color is really the lack of the other colors reflecting. White has all the colors bouncing off the object. Black has none of the colors bouncing.
Now, if you're in art class and trying to make black then you might have to combine all the colors. Or get some charcoal.
