Still searching for a solo saddle. I have it narrowed down to corbin or c&c . One thing that concerns me about c&c is the passenger pillon-p pad.Not for sure about the suction cups? I do still ride with the wife on back, and want her to feel safe. Also on c&c website lists the solo seat for an 07 street glide as a 2pc solo. Anyone know anything about this?
This is a really good topic. I put my stock seat on today. My wife has her own bike now so she will only be riding with me on some of the longer rides.
Corbin is a good saddle. Some advice, if you like me and weigh over 250lbs. let them know. Also, another forum member turned me on to getting flames. They are free and add extra padding.
Twelve hours on the road yesterday and today with one stop due to monkey butt, forgot my gold bond.

Good luck with your search. Did you bail on the Corbin you bought that's referenced in this earlier thread?:
I didnt bail on the corbin, I had it ordered and never recieved a call or email after about 4 days. So I called them and they said they were already sold out by the time I placed my order. Bummer!
Not what you asked about but, on my 07 Glide I had a Danny Gray big seat solo, and now a Mustang solo with backrest. DG looks better, but in 60 miles, ouch. Mustang is pretty comfy. The backrest really helps.
I am now reading that the passenger pillon for c&c seats is cosmetic only, is this true? It says not for passenger use. And use only to support backpacks or luggage on trips. I guess I am now back to corbin, possibly mustang. I just really like the looks of a solo seat.

The passenger pillion works great for passengers as well as luggage. I recommend a piece of 3M clear on the fender under the pillion suction cups or you will have some fine scratching. The scratches are easy to remove with swirl remover though. I removed the metal tang on the pillion for fear of scratches also. I have 20K+ miles solo and double with no issues and the pillion stays put even with the single screw and cups holding it down. The C&C Solo is a hard type seat much like a Corbin and any stylish stitching only makes for discomfort - experience speaking here. Add a sheepskin and you can easily ride out a full tank before needing a leg stretch.
