Talking repacking rineharts

Has anybody else had to repack there rineharts? I have an 06 screamin eagle ultra with 103, and have had to repack them twice with fiberglass. Any thoughts?

I have TD's and mine never had any packing as far as I know. Was the packing wrapped around the baffle? Just wonderin.........

They don't come from the factory with any packing. I did add some to mine about 5k miles ago. Didn't make any noticeable difference. Try going to a dirt bike dealer and get some 4 stroke baffle wrap. It will hold up a long time. Just checked mine while I was installing quiet baffles two weeks ago and still looks like new after 5,000 miles.

thanks for the info> i just use the stuff i can get from j&p cycles. i will try the 4 stroke wrap you talked about. To me, when the fiberglass burns out, i loose that distinctive rinehart pop that comes with the mufflers. know what i mean. and the wife can tell the vibration difference in her floorboards.

I've had Rinehart TD's since late '05 and they don't have any packing; just a metal baffle. Have you tried your mufflers without packing? I ask because mine and every other set of Rinehart TD's I've heard had a great, clear, crisp exhaust note.
