Default Frenched Trim Rings

I recently bought a set of Custom Chrome Frenched Trim Rings for my 04 Road King Classic. I got the rings for the Headlight and Passing Lamps. When I installed them, there is a 1/8" gap at the seam where the tightening screw is. I've tightened the screws as much as possible to try and close the gap.

Any Suggestions???

Thanks!

I'm afraid that is normal, the headlight should be close but the spots have gaps like you mentioned. I had the same problem and asked around like you.........................Don

I just installed the HD trim rings two days ago. Almost no gap in the headlight ring, but there is a more pronounced gap in the passing lamp rings. I guess they are supposed to be that way, as the HD items for the passing lamps have some kind of filler piece at the gap that looks chrome-ish, but is more like chrome aluminum foil.

Regards,
Rick

The H-D Trim rings in deed have a gap and they provide some mylar tape to fill the gap. The o-rings that have to be installed behind the lens makes them stick out just enough that there is a gap there. You hardly notice it after a while and I have the trim rings on all my lights and they look great. I installed the smoked lens on the fender tip, passing lights, turn signals front and rear and they are awesome. Don't worry about the gap as we all have the gap.

Ride on.....
