Just wondering how you listen to audio from the Zumo without running a patch cord to the 'Aux' port?

I made a disc with about 100 of my favorite songs (mp3). Disc is in the radio, so no cord needed. If I load the Zumo with music then I need a cord to hear it or go wireless to my headset. Either way cord or wireless for music from the Zumo, the sound quality is down imop.

Get an SD card like others have said. Load it with the music, keep it in folders speeds up the loading. I then use Winamp to create playlists that you can use.

Directions go to my Scala headset via bluetooth. Could do the same with music but the sound quality just isn't there in my opinion.

Default Poi loader

You also want to download and install "POI Loader". You you that to load all of your Points Of Interest and extra routes. You will set up a file structure on your PC and point to it when loading. You can only use one teir structure for folders. ex: Main folder - HD Dealers, Sub-folders - NC, SC, GA... They will show up on the Zumo SD card and can be located under "EXTRA".

IMHO, sound quality isn't that big a deal anyway - any standard MP3 compression should be fine when you are on a bike and moving. The aux cord is easy to 'hide' - just bring it down the Ram mount stalk - run along the other cables up and under the fairing/ignition cover, through the other bar grommett and back up to the Aux port...

4 GB of tunes is nice to have on longer rides.

If you are listening to music through a Zumo 550 using a wireless headset; the reason the sound qulity is not up to par is because the Zumo does not broadcast wireless in stereo. To get stereo reception you have two options. One is that you have to use a wire. The second option (if you want to go wireless) is to get a stereo 'dongle' to plug in to the Zumo's audio output port. Your Scala will then come through in stereo.

Thought it would be simple and the first try with one song and I get a screen that says the device is full. I've never installed anything in it so just wondering how it could be full.

As suggested in an earlier reply, you should pick up a 2G SD card for your music. It will hold hundreds, if not thousands, of songs. The internal memory of the Zumo 550 will only hold around 10 to 20. Also, do not use an SD card larger then 2G as the Zumo will not recognize it (unless Garmin has issued new firmware to fix this problem but I don't think they have).

I have a 4gb SanDIsk SDHC card in mine.

The Zumo 550 bluetooth is not in stereo but he Zumo 660 has A2DP bluetooth which is in stereo.
